I seem to have a fair few electrical codes which reflect what I see in the car, drivers door (rdh) not unlocking by the key remote infrequently, rear rhd door lock clicking whilst driving, my after market stereo switches itself off randomly, the front footwell lights flashing. I'm trying to figure out how best to trouble shoot these electrical gremlins, do you think these are all related to the Central Control Module for Central Convenience fault? and how can I check/test the CCM? Any help is appreciated. I have ordered a new in tank fuel pump and fuel pump control module after checking my initial scan and seeing those two fuel pump errors. I should have those parts this week. What can I do to check for the hot spot you mention? Or is that irrelevant after I fit the pump and wiring? Mar 17, 2019 #4Jack@European_Parts

You can also read MVBs on various CCM functions using VCDS. You have not mentioned the EXACT concerns you have on car functionality apart from asking how to deal with electrical gremlins... For the fuel pump electrical malfunction, I know some of them gets too hot and throw such faults due to internal defect so a modified part was released to cure such problems..check your current part number and compare with latest one available in etka and replace if possible. Finally you can test the purge valve according to the repair manual..you need vacuum gauge and vcds. I hope these help. Mar 18, 2019 #7Jack@European_Parts

RTFB and read WD while tracing each circuit isolated in question with DVOM and authenticate each of the circuits ability to carry needed "current" including a good ground. Mar 18, 2019 #8 Bbobby_dd

I was thinking that could the footwell lights, radio, databus, window regulator and door lock errors all point to an issue with the CCM rather than those specific parts of the car. This is just me thinking aloud as I have zero experience with VCDS and CCMs. Are this parts even controlled by the CCM? I was hoping that my idea in replacing the CCM would get some feedback as to whether that seems a logical step. This is the CCM error that appears twice in my scan. 01330 - Central Control Module for Central Convenience (J393) 004 - No Signal/Communication - Intermittent Freeze Frame: Fault Status: 00100100 Fault Priority: 2 Fault Frequency: 1 Reset counter: 50 Mileage: 125116 km Time Indication: 0 I replaced the N80 valve and the carbon canister hoses a few month ago as I was getting that EVAP Emission Control. Make sure no corroded fuses are in place too. If all checks out ok, I will replace the module. But please note that replacing a module may not just fix all your problem. what is the status of CCM in gateway 19 MVB 125-140? I will still first of all use VCDS to take readings on all those mentioned components. yes CCM controls the windows, footwell lights and so on. The radio I believe is hooked to the infotainment system. If you are not familiar with VCDS i will suggest you practice it as it could save you tons of time and money. You will also need a WD too support your fault finding strategy-if not seek professional help. Mar 18, 2019 #10Jack@European_Parts
