Mastropiero M 2012 jetta 2.0 TDI lasts from 5 to 7 seconds to start, when it does it starts into limp mode, engine has no misfire, engine speed sensor seems to read ok according to measuring values, what I do not understand is crankshaft signal evaluation status in TIMERMODE. Correct me if I am wrong but it should be under GAPFOUND right? (I checked with my NMS Passat with CVCA engine to compare signal evaluation status under GAPFOUND) Wiring has already been checked.. Any thoughts? The issue you reference could result from an intermittent problem with the sensor, sensor wires, connectors or the ECM. As to your VCDS question, RossTech has an excellent support database for their software and what the correct measuring block parameters you should expect to find when diagnosing issues with your VW.
