I've never even thought about them. FWIW, it will be paired with an Eminence GB128 in a 2x12 cab. I'm looking to brighten it up from the Silver Bell. I know a V30 will do it (don't ask me why I traded one away).northernguitar

At any rate, I think the G12H will get me a lot closer to what I'm hunting for than the Weber offers. The G12H also seems like decent trade bait if it doesn't work out.Tim S

It worked wonders for my greenboard Blues Jr. (I’m a big fan of heavy magnet Celestions, but they’re probably not for everyone) Edit: If you’re impatient about breaking in speakers, Avatar sells a broken-in Anniversary as a “Hellatone 30” and a broken-in Vintage 30 as a “Hellatone 60” (pretty good pricing too — but they will slap a Hellatone label over the Celestion label unless you tell them not to) Last edited: Oct 9, 2021Bella

Click to expand...Zilla does some of the best speaker shootouts/comparisons I've found. Their vids were, um, instrumental (I'll see myself out) in helping me decide on Invader 50s for my ORI50H cab. Hope the anniversary suits your needs!

Fender 2x12 the pair of V30 is very bassy and warm. I don’t have an anny just the Heritage 30H55hz and that’s bright and open sounding plus bassy.Bluego1

I've only driven it as hard as 'missus in the next room making Thanksgiving pierogies, don't mess with that' volume. I'm looking forward to givin' 'er at some point.

Punchy and chimey and perfect on its own. I used this one for a few years in a closed 1x12. I just want to brighten my 2x12 up a hair and think this G12H30 may be a great compliment. Bragging rights!! This Celestion is made in the UK.

However, I think a Greenback may be peaches and cream with this G12H30 Anni. I'm very curious to hear how you like them together.

I paired with a single ended Emory sound and it was horrible. Another time I used a 55hz version and it it was stopped in the mids and not good. Normally, I like the 55hz version. That being said, it may brighten your rig up paired with the GB128 however, we don't know what amp(s) it will be paired with and that is a HUGE factor.northernguitar

The redback is a higher wattage G12H30 that rolls off some highs. That painting is great and I believe it's an indicator that your idea will work. I cant say for the Vox but, seems like it would work our great. Reddit Pinterest Tumblr WhatsApp Email Share Link
