彼は時々車を運転しつつ、電話をする。

hint romaji Englishかれはときどきくるまをうんてんしつつ、でんわをする。kare wa tokodoki kuruma o unten shi tsutsu, denwa o suru.He sometimes talks on the phone while driving.

Example #2

彼は忙しいと言いつつ、長電話をしている。

hint romaji Englishかれはいそがしいといいつつ、ながでんわをしている。kare wa isogashii to ii tsutsu, nagadenwa o shite iru.Although he says he is busy, he has been talking on the phone for a long time.

健康に良くないとは知りつつ、タバコがやめられない。

hint romaji Englishけんこうによくないとはしりつつ、タバコがやめられない。kenkou ni yokunai towa shiri tsutsu, tabako ga yamerarenai.Even while knowing tobacco is bad for one's health, they still cannot quit.

いけないと知りつつも、ゴミを分別せずに捨ててしまう。

hint romaji Englishいけないとしりつつも、ゴミをぶんべつせずにすててしまう。ikenai to shiri tsutsu mo, gomi o bunbetsu sezu ni sutete shimau.Even though I know it is wrong, I throw away my garbage without separating it.
