Hazard Lights Come On (while Parked) - No Apparent Reason

not sure if anyone else has experienced this with their Touareg. MY16 (2015) R Line. Parked in a shopping centre carpark. Car locked, and we walked away for about 30 minutes. Upon returning to the car, the hazard lights are flashing, no horn/alarm sounds tho'. Walked around the car, no noted damage. Unlocked the car, hazard lights go off. Start the car, dashcam goes into 'drive' mode, and doesn't report any incident whilst parked (yes, it monitors activity around the car while parked). Strange. The sunroof was open in the 'venting' position (not slid open). It's a strong chance a fly may have entered the vehicle, set off the motion sensor in the vehicle and then left. The expected process with an alarm activation is that the horn sounds for a pre-determined period, but the hazard lights remain flashing until the car security is reset thru unlocking the car. #4 · Jan 31, 2022 flies? I have seen many cars with the alarm sounding that was triggered due to a sunroof or window slightly open. #5 · Jan 31, 2022 Scan the ccm to see what last triggered the alarm. #6 · Dec 23, 2023 Accidentally hit the panic button in your key fob.
