#1 · Jul 26, 2012 Any body got any idea why Hazard lights flashing for 5min after doors locked. All doors are locked ok. Thinking door sensor or loom under the driver seat. Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · Jul 28, 2012 Just updating on the issue with the Hazard lights flashing - Seems to be an issue with the side door. Last night it was shown door was shown open when hitting bumps in the road. Got out locked all the doors with the key, lights started flashing, opened the door locks and opened and closed the side door, locked the doors with the key NO flashing lights.. Has any one experienced this issue? I have read in another forum the rubber around the door has a sensor in it, if the door is lose or the battery is low this can happen. Looking more like my door is lose or the lock is faulty #3 · Jul 28, 2012 follow this treadT: http://www.vwt4forum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=52932&highlight=central+locking+problem #4 · Aug 27, 2012 Sorry for bringing this thread up again but found a cure, move to warm part of France no issue after the heat got at it for a day. :) on the boat on the way way back after three good weeks in France with no flashing lights. Irish weather will soon have it flashing again :( at least I will will be able the tackle the wire corrosion issue at the house. #5 · May 17, 2019 I had exactly the same issue, it was suggested on another forum that it might be because of a low battery voltage in the alarm siren. I unplugged the siren (it's housed under the windscreen wiper trim) and the van locked correctly without the continuous flashing lights. It was suggested in the other forum that a new siren would be needed and this would have to be programmed to work with your vehicle. Not sure how much this would cost, alternatively you could just leave the siren unattached. #6 · Jan 30, 2021 Just happened to mine, cheers 🍻 #7 · Feb 1, 2021 Old thread. No coding needed for the new siren if that's what the fault is. That siren is a fairly common fault and known for false alarms. I suppose if the siren fails and causes a (now silent) false alarm you are only left with flashing indicators. #8 · Mar 20, 2021 Hi I had the same problem change your key fob battery just un clip it to replace battery lock car and un lock and re start This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread.
